Lavender Essential Oil 9ml – Tisserand Aromatherapy
Lavender Essential Oil by Tisserand Aromatherapy is distilled from the stalks and flowering tops of the plant. The oil is calming, soothing and reassuring for the mind, relaxing for the body and can be used as a gentle treatment for skin.
Lavender has been used therapeutically for over 2500 years. In Roman times Lavender was a prized commodity, used to scent baths and as a disinfectant and deodorant and also to ward off disease. Throughout history Lavender has been used for its sensual fresh fragrance and therapeutic benefits.
Many aromatherapists claim that there is no health condition for which lavender would not provide some relief – it helps relaxation, sleep, muscle aches, acne, psoriasis, depression, poorly healing wounds and inflammatory conditions.

Product F.A.Q.
Essential oils should not be used directly on the skin, as they are highly concentrated and could potentially cause a negative skin reaction. Essential oils should either be diluted into a carrier oil, unfragranced lotion or cream.
Essential oils should ideally be used within one year of opening. The best way to maximise the shelf life of your oils is to keep them in a cool dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Our dark glass bottles will help prolong their life. If the oil is exposed to heat, air or light, the shelf life will greatly diminish. Old oils should never be used as there is a risk of irritation or sensitisation.
Keep bottles tightly closed, in a cool dark place out of direct sunlight and heat, and well out of reach of children and pets.
You should always be very careful using essential oils around pets. Essential oils should never be applied to animals without the advice of a qualified aromatherapist or veterinary specialist.
Diffusing with pets:
Extra caution should be taken when diffusing essential oils in a home with cats. Cats have very sensitive livers and cannot easily tolerate essential oils. If diffusing in a house with cats ensure periods of diffusing are kept to a minimum and that the room you are diffusing in is well ventilated.
Our products are cruelty free, none of our products are tested on animals at any stage of the production process, they do not contain any animal ingredients, so are safe for vegetarians and vegans.
If you have an existing medical condition or having any medical treatment, please seek medical guidance before using essential oils.
Consult your healthcare professional before using essential oils during pregnancy.
Ingesting essential oils for medicinal use or using them in cookery is potentially very hazardous and is not something that we would ever recommend. The human digestive system is used to processing essential oils in minute amounts in herbs and spices, and this is safe practice; however, any essential oil is at least 100 times more concentrated than found in a herb or a spice, which can cause irritation and internal damage to the digestive tract.
You can dispose of the contents by pouring them onto the ground. Dispose of glass bottles via recycling.
